Bobbie Singer is a hunter, close friend and mother figure to Samantha and Deanna. Bobbie grew up with an abusive father, who Bobbie shot and killed when she was a teenager while protecting her mother. Bobbie buried her father in the salvage yard.
Bobbie has known the Winchesters since at least 1991 - hse gave an 8-year-old Samantha an amulet as a Christmas present for his father, which he eventually gave to Deanna. Bobbie also played catch with Deanna, and took the brothers deer hunting. John Winchester and Bobbie were not necessarily on good terms - Dean comments that the last time Bobbie saw John she nearly "filled him with buckshot." It is to Bobbie's place that Samantha and Deanna go to grieve after John's death. After this Bobbie's relationship with the Winchesters grows even closer, and she becomes both mother figure and friend.
This line is while Bobbie Singer confronts her dead father. You can either read Ed's lines or ignore them.
BOBBIE
Well that's a load of crap. Who the hell were you to say?
ED
I'm your father. And you show your father respect.
BOBBIE
The day he deserves it. You drunken bully. Punching women and kids, is that what they call fatherhood in your day?
ED
You deserved it. Believe me, you were nothing but ungrateful.
BOBBIE
I was a kid! Kids ain't supposed to be grateful. They're supposed to eat your food and break your heart, ya selfish dick! You died and I was still so afraid I'd turn into you, I never even had kids of my own.
ED
Good. You break everything you touch.
BOBBIE
Well, as fate would have it, I adopted two girls and they grew up great. They grew up heroes. So you can go to hell!
Line two is Bobbie talking to Deanna, and I think it shows how amazing of a motherly figure she is.
BOBBIE
Course. Just lost one of the best friends you ever had, your sister’s in the bell jar, and purgatory’s most wanted is surfing the sewer lines-but yeah, yeah I get it…right…you’re…you’re fine. …Course, if at any time you want to decide that’s utter horse crap, I’ll be where I always am…right here.”
This is one of Bobbie's most famous and most said words.
