In truth he only works for himself and he has narcissistic tendencies. Thanks to his obligation he plays the messenger for BBEG as well as bodyguard. Voice tones should take hints from Malachite in the DIC Dub of Sailor Moon.

I really like your tone! The mic is a touch hollow sounding but that could have a lot to do with environment or settings so possibly controllable. You have great control over your voice though and it really shows!
