For a brief section of the book, Husky is a 10-year-old boy, but still exhibits the compassion and wanderlust he portrays in his later years, even if he is a bit more unruly and bratty

  • "Ew! No! Girls are gross! I don't want to meet the princess, I want to train with Tygru and Alex!"

    (Husky is responding to his father Thorgo insinuating that he may appreciate the young Princess Emily Borel's beauty and company. Think of your common, little boy denying that they would ever like girls)

  • "Damn this thing! It is stupid, the arrow does not go where I tell it to." 

    (Husky is struggling to work a bow, and growing frustrated as he continues to miss the target. He is insistent that this is the bow's fault, and not his)

  • "Hello Prince Tygru, I am Husky Vorsten, son of Thorgo Vorsten." 

    (Husky is meeting royalty for the first time, and he is trying his best to fit into the regal atmosphere. He has basically never spoken with any professionalism, so he is a little clumsy and nervous during this line)
