Doens't have to be voiced by a child, just anyone with a younger sounding voice

The first line the child wakes from a trance and sees a giant evil pumpkin that's about to eat him and starts screaming. So it starts in a daze then a scream

The last two lines the child has been absorbed into the Pumpkin and you can only see a child shaped mass inside the pumpkin's ''mouth''
