Role assigned to: Andreas Claymore

"A sellsword in the employ of the Order of the Northern Sky. Ruthless in battle, Gaffgarion's no nonsense attitude often puts him at odds with those he works with."

Age: 52

Voice Type & Personality: Medium Low to Low. Rough, Serious. (I'd imagine him having kind of a cockney English accent, but a hardened warrior's voice, not too gruff, is the most important feature)

  • [a response to someone calling him vulgar]

A guard captain in these rain-sodden hinterlands ought not expect chivalry. We are in the employ of the Order, not of it. Our pay does not cover trite courtesies to the likes of you.

  • [demanding an answer from someone in his way]

Spare me the lecture, I ask for a name! You'd have me believe some bright-eyed pup caught wind of this plan and rescued the princess in the name of justice!? Who gives you your orders? Who told you of this plot!?

  • [trying to convince someone that the ends justify the means]

A man does not eat an omelette without breaking eggs! Blood is the price of progress! It is the ink in which history's pages are writ! Look around you, boy! Ivalice (Ee-vah-lease) rots from within! Your brother would carve out the root of its decay, even if it means his hands must needs be soiled!

This did not seem to be in your comfortable range, because you sound almost constipated throughout the audition. Did you see the word "gruff" and focus on that? Because my description said "hardened warrior, NOT too gruff", and I think you based audition entirely on that word and missed the mark completely. I'd imagine Gaffgarion to be like a hardened soldier who's seen his fair share of bloody battles, one who lives by his actions rather than his words. And please look up any words you are unfamiliar with. "Courtesies" is not one I think many would mistake. Thank you for your audition.
