Chroe thinks highly of herself and that she is some noble. She takes pride in her herd and always acts like someone important. Since zebras are closer to donkeys and not horses, she tried to hide that fact and feels really embarrassed when that's brought up.
Once Jin revealed her to be more donkey than horse, she joined the donkeys and became very invested in their game, becoming very proud of her prowess and success. in addition, she befriended the donkey brothers she once looked down upon and now considers them to be part of her herd.
*entitled* Hey, you there…you dare defy the great Mashima Kuroe? I believe you just said something about “friends,” but this lone wolf, Ranks-san, begged me to let her join my herd, so I simply had no other choice but to let her join my herd…as my pack horse!
*complaining* How dare you touch me?! Is there a problem? You aren’t in the same herd as Ranka-san, *realises* are…you…*understood* Well fine…Wolf, you’re fired! I never thought Ranka-san was fit for a herd as proud and noble as that of the horses.
*flustered/shouting* Y-You mustn’t let him fool you, everyone! This human just made all that up! They’re just lies with no real proof to back them up! There’s no way an elegant mare like myself belongs with the likes of them!
