Akito is the protagonist of Misao. He is noted as being an ordinary high school student. Akito was selected exclusively by Misao to find her and redeem her soul due to a singular interaction of theirs where he was inviting and kindhearted. He always hesitates on harming others, humans or creatures, and would prefer to lay down his own life if he can save others (unlike his female counterpart, Aki, who makes a small cameo).
(a little frightened, stepped out of hiding from a scientist) W-Was that guy even human? Carrying a chainsaw around a school sure ain’t normal…
(calmly, lecturing someone) ...Yoshino, you’re always picking on people weaker than you. That’s bullying, yknow.
(speaking/begging) Misao, you can hear me, right?! If you need a sacrifice, I’ll be it! And let that put an end to this! You can’t call that responsible…
