Kurata (known as Sohta in the original Misao version) is the teacher of Misao's class consisting of the majority of this cast. He is described by students as a kind, caring, loveable, and suave man, willing to help his students out with anything they are having trouble with. Even in the face of danger, he is level-headed and selfless in front of his students and, like Akito, is willing to put down his life if it means saving his students.
