Shadow has been tasked with helping Infinite.  He's not sure why but accepts his duty whole-heartedly, in spite of the jackal's confusing resistance.  Normally known in the series for being overly edgy and stand-offish, this version of Shadow is much more down to earth and willing to assist.  This character carries over into the Diamond in the Sky series, which means whoever is chosen will join our full cast called, Team Diamond.

When auditioning, keep this in mind: I'm not looking for an impressionist.  Shadow needs to have some kick in his voice.  He has friends now and isn't afraid to die for them.  Imagine of version of him who doesn't care about being cool but rather, a valorous Shadow who forgives and fights for what's right along side Sonic unconditionally.  I need an actor who can let go of canon and bring a new kind of righteous fire to Shadow.  He's no antihero in this story, he is a full on hero-type.

NOTE: Audition lines changed OCT. 7th.

  • There’s no time to waste.  You and I can’t afford to be enemies.

  • Stop resisting.  I know what happened that day.  Being called pathetic and weak is a shallow reason to hold onto this kind of anger.

  • No wonder Zero hates my guts.  You framed me for killing his family!  I’ll never serve you, Mephiles!

Lol, nice outtake at the end! Mixing the SA2 VO style with the Boom VO style is a very cool interpretation. I definitely appreciate that, as the text does describe him as being a cross between both Shadows. There is only one thing I'd like to hear differently, if you are up for it. And that is to perhaps give it a go with a hint of your own voice mixed in there. This is an emotionally charged part, with Shadow expressing himself differently than what canon has allowed in the past. Take what you’ve come up with, and throw in your own unique cadence and tone, in order to highlight what you suspect Shadow is feeling. It may seem removed stylistically but at the same time, will give you more room to engage his motives and how you might empathize with them.
