[40s-50s] Burr is a World War 2 veteran, and although he may not act like a soldier any more, the experience has deeply affected him. He's now a naturally very xenophobic person with paranoia about the Russians and a fascination with the possibilities of the occult after he encountered a strange ritual take place in an isolated island in the Pacific Sea. Although also a part of Kent's circle, he has little interest in the politics or corruption of the town beyond combating a perceived communist threat, and working alongside Kent to piece together the mystery.
