Scootaloo is a female school-age Pegasus Pony. She is energetic and tomboyish, much like her idol Rainbow Dash. She complains about having to listen to "sappy" and "namby-pamby" stories told by other ponies. Although Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo aren't related, she views her as an older sister throughout the series, much in the same way that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle look up to their sisters Applejack and Rarity, respectively. After Sonic and Rainbow Dash saved her, along with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, from one of Eggman's robots, Scootaloo immediately admired Sonic and his style of speed. Like Rainbow Dash, Sonic is much like Scootaloo's idol and finds it cute when both of them hang out together. Scootaloo hopes that after Sonic and his friends stop Eggman from ruling Equestria and before returning back to his world, she wants to write an inspirational school report about him and learn his definition of speed.
