Smolder based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV series. This story takes place during season 8. The season acts as a backdrop or is notably changed throughout the chapters.
Smolder is a young dragon and member of the Student Six. In chapter 5, the six friends get caught in a fear snare that Rainbow Dash instinctively casts while revealing herself as a master mev. Most of Smolder's lines are plain questions or remarks. She is a direct and straight-forward character. Smolder has a subtle gravelly quality to her voice. She only has one extra line ("That is weird.") beyond the audition lines here.

But what if something is seriously wrong?
(Context: The Student Six are meeting during their lunch break at school. Ocellus has noticed Twilight Sparkle is not using magic. Sandbar has pointed out it would be rude to ask, and this line is Smolder echoing an earlier stated concern from Gallus that something might be wrong.)
So, what were you going to do to us?
(Context: This is after Gallus breaks the group out of the fear snare by saying the word "Master" aloud. Rainbow has explained to them that she cannot eat their magic because they are too young. Smolder asks her the above, and it is described as borderline accusatory and mildly curious in text.)
Anything we can or should do? What about all the other students?
(Context: Smolder is asking this to Rainbow Dash near the end of chapter 5 after Rainbow has explained several things to the group. They are on better terms after she explains how new her transformation is to her and that she didn't even know she could cast a fear snare or feed on fear during the day.)
