Once a samurai from a noble human family, Bunta gave up almost everything to be with Miku, even raising her child with her previous husband as his own. He was very curious and fascinated by the unknown and yokai, thus bringing him to continuously meeting up with Miku. He genuinely loved Yasu and truly saw them as his child, even without their blood relation.
He will only be in the opening segment of the game, so I don't mind double casting whoever voices him.
I don't have a high preference for what he should sound like aside from being reserved. Think of a conservative older man.
(remorseful) "She thought it would be what's best for you...we thought it would be what's best..."
(mournful) "Yasu, you're mother would like to finally speak to you."
(like a worried/strict father) "Be home before dark. I really prefer you don't go out, but I know you have to."
If possible, without peeking your mic, have a dying scream or battle grunts, as though you're getting hit
Both your auditions were good (as always) though the Akihiko might have been a tad overplayed throughout. It's alright to change up the gruffness to a more softness when saying certain lines. Thank you so much for your auditions again!
I looked at Akihiko's portrait again and yes, you're completely right. I got him mixed up with another character. I feel like a real good, now.
Oh don't sweat it! The way you read the first few lines were pretty perfect for that tone, but later, it can be played down is all.
