Megami Ibunroku Persona [Comic Dub]
RJH_Voiceover for Kei Nanjo
Kei Nanjo is a genius, arrogant and boastful rich boy. Coming from the esteemed family of the Nanjo Group, Kei is fueled by validation of those in the higher world and attempts to act as mature, adult and intelligent as he can, seeing it as the only correct outlook for someone in his position. He tends to be rather cold and judgmental to those around him, but attempts to stay well mannered and polite despite his condescending outlook. He tries to be driven purely by logic, rather than emotion, emphasis on trying.
In the game, he's voiced by Troy Baker, giving a rather calculated and confidant delivery. His voice range is rather low, although middle-range actors are welcome to audition as long as his mannerisms are intact.
Pardon me, but... With that sort of offhand explanation, is there even any point to holding this class?
Kei is interrupting the teacher as his explanation is finished. Being disappointed due to his prior passion in the subject, he "politely" lashes out and attempts to lecture the teacher himself.Hmph... All I did was speak my mind. If you wish to cast a blaming finger, you'd better be pointing it towards Nishida's character instead.
After being blamed for causing the group to stay after school hours, Kei shifts the blame towards his teacher, as he genuinely doesn't see himself as doing anything wrong. He's very boastful, raising himself as someone sensible and degrading those "forcing him down".Answer me, Yamaoka! I beg of you, open your eyes...! What am I supposed to do without you? Who will encourage me... Who... Who can even stand by me...?
Kei, after watching his faithful butler Yamaoka die in front of his eyes, tries to wake him up after hearing his last words, not being able to accept his death. While he starts as commanding, he very quickly starts being overtaken by his emotions, starting to cry by the end as he realizes that he's all alone in the world.
