Setsuko is Maki's mother. While Maki might think of her as uncaring or evil, that couldn't be further from the truth. Setsuko cares a lot for her daughter, and works overtime at a company she hates in order to pay her medical bills and get her home safely. She's an incredibly worried and anxious person, tending to usually not be very proactive on her own and sulking in her own depression. At the beginning of the story, she starts making a change in her behaviour, deciding to attempt to stop SEBEC ahead of time (Which ends up in her getting shot) and going after Maki after hearing she's not in the hospital.
Setsuko's range is low, primarily due to her age, although a mid-range is also acceptable as long as her worried mother mannerisms are intact.
This system is too dangerous! If we're careless and something were to happen during the operation... In the worst-case scenario, not only our building, but the whole town could be destroyed!
Setsuko is caught red-handed as she tries to shut down the DEVA System, trying in a nervous panic to explain to Kandori why using it is a horrible idea for any semblance of a chance to change his mind, as if he's not already fully aware of what he's doing. She's incredibly terrified, keeping a distance from him and shouting as if to maintain it and due to having a hard time controlling her emotions.
I don't know what to say... I've caused so much trouble for everyone.
Setsuko shudders on top of the nurse bed, severely depressed with her voice shaking. She sees herself heavily responsible for all of this chaos, and in deep regret can't even find the right words to even apologize with for all she's done. She sighs as she depressingly sulks by herself.
