Shiro entered Hope's peak by luck alone, and lived a life that seemed to put him in between opposite ends of every spectrum, leading him to joke that he's in fact the Ultimate Average Guy. He believes that no matter how hard he works towards any goal, he'll always only manage to be average and is doomed to always be outshinedby his peers - however, he is also excited to have the opportunity, and deeply cares about them as people, making it a conflicting mix of care, friendship, envy and jealousy.
Shiro sounds like the prototypical anime protagonist. A good reference is Midoriya, from BNHA.

Don't be so hard on yourself, What! I think it's very nice to push your boundaries and try new things, and we really appreiate you taking the time and effort to put Shiro out there for us to hear! If you're interested in male roles, but not fully confident in your vocal skill to sound manly so far, consider trying for Haru Kobayashi, the Ultimate Actor! He's a far more feminine male voice who just might be a good fit for you!
