Simon is Willium’s young apprentice, and is excited to learn more about the ways of demon hunting. He loves animals and the people of Coin island, but he is easily swayed by old prejudices and frequently jumps to conclusions. Simon’s closest friend apart from Willium is June, his hunting dog.

Hello Shadow, thanks for auditioning! Your delivery is a little higher and squeakier than I was looking for – it made Simon seem a bit too young. Also, there was an issue where the lines weren’t read as they were written, ie “were sharks” instead of “were-sharks,” “they’d enjoy” instead of “they enjoyed.” While typos do happen, it’s usually best to read the lines as they are. Or if you want to check beforehand, you can always message the person in charge. If it is a typo, they’ll be happy to get a chance to correct it, and if it’s not, that sort of message demonstrates an attention to detail that’ll act as a point in your favor.
