-Would like her to sound like a young child( someone the Player can emphatize with) but done in a way where it sounds realistic and not annoying.
This is the role of Melody. Melody is a girl around 5 to 8 years old. While the original voice actor was fine, I needed to add some new dialogue for her to add some context to the story. Since I’m getting a revoice, I’d like someone younger than the original voice actress.

I guess that's okay. Um, if you're a friend, can you help me?
I'm not allowed to talk to you.
Okay. Um... do you think you could help me?
{giggles}They do say that! I guess you can be my friend.
Can you help me?
Um... I help take care of the Brahmin (Braw-men). I sometimes bring water and food to people. Um... that's it.
(Player says “you’re not telling me something. What is that in the back?”
(at first) (defensive) (not saying anything) (nervous)
It’s nothing. I…I..just only take care of the Brahmin(Braw-men)
(Player says, “This is no ordinary Brahmin(Braw-men) pen, is it? What’s really going on here?”)
Please…..I only take care of the Brahmin(Braw-men). I………I don’t want to end up like them….(sniffles)
(Player asks, “Who’s them? The pile over there doesn’t look like Brahmin fertilizer.”)
(sniffles) It’s nothing. It’s Brahmin(Braw-men) fertilizer.
(That's not Brahmin fertilizer. What is it really. Please..tell me. I promise not to tell.)
Um…ok…..You promise not to tell, right?
(Player promises)
Ok…(hesitant)(sniffles)……This is where they keep dead people. (sound scared) Antony says I’ll end up like them if I don’t obey.
(pleading) Antony took Sergeant Teddy away and gave him to the stinky dogs. I really want him back. Could you please get him for me?
(sad) (near tears) He's a toy. I know it doesn't seem like much....but..my mom gave it to me on my birthday. It's.....it's all I have left.
(Player asks about Melody's mom. "So what happened to your mom? How did you end up here?")
(teary) I....I can't talk about her....but.....my mom...she's....she's not here anymore. (Overwhelmed) (about to cry)I...don't want to talk about her(sniffles)
I kept him secret, but I think somebody told on me.

Hello. I just found this audition on the day of the deadline. I tried to put something together as quickly as possible but I missed the line "I guess that's okay. Um, if you're a friend, can you help me?" and there are some lines I feel came out a little low and would like to redo. If it's allowed I'd like to send in a 2nd take tomorrow. I just wanted to send something in now before bed incase the deadline is first thing in the morning tomorrow. I didn't see a time. Thanks!
Absolutely. There's no limit to redos. Sometimes it takes a bit to get it just right. The kid auditions are tricky....there's a particular voice I'm looking for but I can't explain it... but I know what I'm looking for. The moment I hear it, I'll know it. Kid auditions are hard for me to do because I can't coach on it. With the guy roles I can give hints. With the women roles I can give hints or give intonation and inflection. With kid roles, it's something I can't coach in.
Although regarding feedback, I'm noticing there is an issue with the mic. It sounds like it's coming from a phone or a transmitter.
Also changed the deadline. For the most part, you can sort of ignore the deadline on this project. Every time I think I am done, I keep coming up with new ideas, new roles, new scripts to write. Changed the deadline to the 14th.
O.K. Great. Yeah. I just got my Blue Yeti and pop filter in the mail and trying to figure out how to get rid of noise and did what I could to get it in on time. I think I've figured out the problem though so now that I know there is an extension I will work on improving that for a 2nd submission. Thanks!
