Impressive, most impressive. I see your impression is more based on Ewan McGregor's performance.
Thanks! Considering all of the audition lines were said in the films McGregor acted in, and that his face is on the role depicted here, I felt that choosing to do an Alec Guinness or James Arnold Taylor would have been foolish! Haha!
Well... I would disagree considering that yes it's not wise to do Old Ben Kenobi, to not try a James Arnold Taylor impression is from a certain point of view. Ewan's likeness is used in everything yet it was JAT who did the voice acting. I chose the one that has been Obi-Wan the longest and is in more things as the character than Ewan. So choosing JAT is not foolish. Plus JAT performed those lines countless time.
You have a point. Admittedly, I am personally not too familiar with the Clone Wars animated interpretation. I had a feeling these comics dubs would be based largely on the films, so I chose to go with both my strengths and my belief that it would befit both this project and the director's recent appreciation of the films. If it is a JAT interpretation they are looking for, I wish you all the luck in getting the role!
