My Hero Academia Abridged - CLOSED
Izuku Midoriya for Izuku Midoriya "Deku"
The main character of My Hero Academia. Was born Quirkless but later given a quirk by his role model, All-Might. Normally, he is shy, timid, helpful, polite, determined and a little bit of a crybaby (so pretty much like every Shonen male protagonist).
While we’ll still be keeping those same traits that Izuku has, we’ll also be adding more to him for this series. For this abridged, we want to portray him as a bit of a smartass, a little sarcastic and at times, a little cocky, mainly to Bakugo as I want to create some sort of banter between the two.
NOTE: Deku is the main character of the anime and of the abridged so, as such, this role is the most time consuming as he will be in every episode of the series (or most of them). Please audition with that in mind.
Voice type for the character:
Try to sound more like the Japanese VA for Deku with a more sarcastic tone to his voice. (Daiki Yamashita). However, having your own interpretation of the character is absolutely fine as long as it matches his abridged personality.
(determined and proud)
You can’t use that name as an insult against me anymore, Kaachan. I am no longer the useless Deku who couldn’t defend himself. From now on, I’m the Deku who's going to save people!(sarcastic)
Oh yeah, because saving a civilian whose life was in danger is less important than catching up with school work about “improving our quirks” and “how to learn to not sit on desks”, huh, why didn’t I think about that, Iida?(downhearted and pleading a little)
All my life, I’ve always wanted to be like you, saving people. But I was born without a quirk and I was always put down for it….even by the people that I cared about...but I want to prove them wrong, so please tell me I can be a hero like you, All-Might! Please!
If I'm gonna be honest, I really doubt I'm gonna get this part, I've been rejected or beaten to the punch before I audition anyways
hey great audition but here is some feedback, 1. if slating is not required in an audition don't do it(slating is introducing your name and who your auditioning for, the director already knows who your auditioning and they don't really care about your name unless you are picked for the role, also don't say line 1 take 1 the recordings will just be longer then it actually has to be, the few seconds of recording should be you doing your lines and showing your talent, 3. the audio waves are at a good level but I can tell that its very compressed and boxy so that could use some work
Thank you so much for the advice/feedback, I'll keep that in mind
