Nightcall Radio: A One-Shot Audio Drama
MasonW for The Captor
The Captor is an unnamed character who calls into Frank's radio show claiming to have a woman held captive. He promises the woman will live, but only if Frank meets him at the location he specifies. The Captor seems to have history or a connection to Frank... but what could it be?
Some notes about The Captor:
- Intended to be in his late 20's/early 30's, same as Frank.
- He is very nervous.
- He is NOT supposed to sound "evil". Rather, he should sound "normal", but with a hint of instability about him.
Hey, Frank. I hope you got a good listen at the woman whimpering. Before you ask, yes, I kidnapped her, and yes, I'm going to kill her; that is, of course, unless you bring your ass down to the address I'm about to give you. You got that? You meet me, and she lives, but you don't, and she dies.
Look, you don't have to believe me. Honestly, it's no skin off my back if the bitch dies or not. But I thought you were a respectable guy, Frank? Aren't you some kind of, you know, positive figure or something? I figured you'd want to save a damsel in distress.
Meet me at Mansfred Street, the place by the old abandoned warehouse. You come alone, or I kill her. I see someone who isn't you, I kill her. And if you bring any police with you, or if I even think you might have brought police with you or that one of your *listeners* called the cops, you can probably guess what I'll do. So please, cooperate and everyone walks out alive. I think that's a good deal, right? See you there.
I like it overall! I like the direction you took with it. My main suggestion would be to step up the nervous factor just a bit.
