Alik is a punk, an idiot with an attitude problem. It's obvious why he'd be the kind of kid he is and the crimes he committed and the plan he has reek of idiocy. Alik is cocky and thinks his humour will save him, it won't. He's got to learn the hard way that he ain't gonna be liked in prison. Dale tries to help but gives up quickly, eager to see how Alik is going to mess things up. The role requires a young and cocky performance with a voice that really needs to be punched. The annoying factor needs to be dialled to 11 here. Take a shot and see if it works for you.
