Sarah Matthews is the loving and caring mother to the main seasons companion, Sally Matthews. Sarah and Sally's relationship is strong in this first episode. However, this character gets killed tragically by the end of things. But, due to this show being all about time travel... Sarah Matthews is still a recurring character throughout this season. But this is what drives Sally into becoming a better human. So Sarah will still be in multiple episodes.
