Kyle, otherwise known as Bae (only Natalie calls him this), is the jokester of the group. He’s by no means comic relief. He’s more like the dad to the whole of them, solving emotional issues as they appear and becoming a shoulder to cry on for those who need it.
Kyle has a downside to using and also not using his powers. If he doesn’t use them for long periods of time he begins to stop feeling things himself. Think about the vampire diaries and how they shut off their humanity? Essentially that’s what will happen to Kyle.
But if he constantly uses his ability he will lose control over it. He won’t be able to decide whose feelings he feels as well as whose feelings he affects. If he’s sad, everyone within 5 miles will be sad, or if someone’s in a murderous rage within 5 miles and kyle picks up on it, he’ll go into a murderous rage.
