"Infinite Horizons" (Halo Machinima)
KeybladeAli for BLU (Brendon)
Brendon “Blu” Bleue was childhood friends with Jay, and the pair were thick as thieves in the Halo 3 days. Jay was the self-conscious misfit, and Blu the self-destructive, sarcastic outcast, so they naturally bonded as runts of the litter. However, Blu’s insensitivity towards their friends drove everyone away until he, too, drifted away from Jay and left him in isolation.
Underneath it all, Blu is guilty for how he drives people away. He doesn’t understand how to confront it though, instead hiding his insecurities behind humor, cynicism, and sarcastic quips, leaving him unable to forge long-lasting connections. He’s trapped in a cycle of playing whatever bandwagon FPS games are popular, cycling through groups of random acquaintances he meets online and struggling to make any real, lasting friendships.
Now, seemingly out of nowhere, Blu gets an invite from Jay to play this new Halo game. After he destroyed their friend group and abandoned their friendship a decade ago, he struggles to understand why Jay would want his company and is suspicious of his motives. Blu’s journey is one of self-discovery, as he stops running from his inner demons and learns the value of forging relationships rather than submitting to his anxieties and shutting people out.
18yo; Mid-to-Deep vocal range preferred. As long as he is relatively deeper than Jay.
“Battlefield? You mean Battlegrounds. I’d never sink low enough to play an EA game. I mean, hell, I just got off of Apex before I came here!”
”Just got off D2 with the squad. Loading up pronto.”
”Look man, this thing was better in the old Halos, and now it’s a goddamn nerf gun. What’re we gonna do, point these fly swatters at him and tell him it’s nerf or nothing?”
