Koala for Peter (Legion boy in training) (This is a paid role $)
Payment: $15 for the chosen audition for the little boy.
For this particular script, you would play the role of a young boy. He can be anywhere from 3 to 8 years old. You only need to do the lines of the little boy and not the Legion soldier.
Boy (Your line): I want to go home! Where's my mom?!!! Why are you doing this to us??!! (pleading, , angry, confused)
Legion soldier: Silence!!! (Loud and authoritative) Your home is here! And you will no longer address her by that name. (menacing) Do you understand, Atticus? (tone becomes softer and kinder)
Boy (Your line): My name isn’t Atticus! My name is Peter! (angry)
Legion soldier: Your name is Atticus! Do I make myself clear! (angry tone)
Boy (Your line) : What?! (confused, teary eyed, in pain)
Legion soldier: And if you do not deem yourself a soldier of the Legion I will have you lashed.
Boy (your line) : No! No (Frightened, scared)
Legion soldier: Good. What is your name? And....who are you?
Boy (Your line): My name is….Atticus…..and I am a soldier of the Legion.
Legion soldier: (softer and kinder tone) (approving) Very good. Now join the rest of them.
OH MAN! That's good! That's damn good! Can you make the voice just a tad bit deeper? Just about 20% deeper? I suppose I could just change the pitch in Audacity. But...can you do it one more time with a slightly deeper voice.
The emotion in your last line is EXACTLY how I want it! You're on point!

yeah! (light bulb idea) Ok so you know how in my script, it shows the kid talking back? Well, let's change it. Just make it so that he's scared with each line. Just like last line on first audition. Same tone, same voice, same nervous scaredy cat voice. It would still work. So when he says "My name isn’t Atticus! My name is Peter! "...it could be more like..he's saying it but not in an angry way but more like..."my name isn't atticus (nervous) (scared) my name is peter. Get what I mean. Same tone, same voice as first audition, last line throughout. So it's not a kid who's rebellious. It's more a kid who's scared and confused throughout.
