[CLOSED] Fallout: New Vegas Redesigned
suzieqsailaway for A flicker of light (This is a paid role $)
Payment: $20 for the chosen audition
This role is a bit complicated. It involves two different states of mind. The actor (the woman) initially is catatonic in tone with a tinge of sadness. A great reference is Rei Ayanami of Neon Genesis Evangelion. She is dead inside.
Upon speaking with the hero, her tone changes. She becomes gradually excited and becomes more hopeful. It’s hard for me to explain this without an audition (which I will include shortly).
Female: Age 17 to 32
Caesar is pronounced differently in this game. Pronounced as Kai like sky and zhar like czar, Kai-zar
Line 1: (Depressed, catatonic) Hello outsider. What brings you here? Very few are granted an audience with Caesar. (Caesar is pronounced differently in this game. Pronounced as Kai like sky and zhar like czar, Kai-zar )
Line 2: (Depressed, catatonic) My master treats me well. He has given me permission to rest here…..I am expecting a child. He'll be a great soldier for the Legion.
Line 3: (Depressed, catatonic) I’m very happy here. My master treats me well.
Line 4: (Depressed, catatonic) I don’t need to leave. I'm very happy here. My master will be very angry with me if I leave.
(Change in tone) (Life in eyes) (Something registers in her head) (Lightbulb moment) …..Wait!!
(scared) (Ecstatic) (Excited) Wait! Wait! Wait! You’re saying….you can free us?! How?!!
(Ecstatic) (Questioning) (Excited) I’ve lost count of how many days I’ve been here!! Can you truly save us?
I’m not going to get my hopes up….but…….(excitement, fear, and happiness at the same time, act how you would if you can't wait to tell someone good news)…I can't wait to tell the others!!
I pray what you say is true! (Joy and hope and excitement but not quite believing, hopeful, should be a drastic tone from her first line with you)
Oh my God! That's on point! Let me wait for a few more folks but damn..you got what I was looking for!
Oh, holy! You're fast. Well, that's a super nice thing to hear before I sidle off to bed! Danke.
I had actually copy/pasted the earlier cues/lines you had posted here into an e-mail and used those when I recorded. When I came back, I realized a lot of new cues were added and some lines had changed. Apologies if this doesn't really hit the mark! I did replace the "I need to tell the others" line with the new one, but it's 3am and I'm having a tough time judging what's good 'n' not-so-good. Eheh. :) Anyway. Great project! Very fun audition. Thank you.
I think this is so on point. Role is filled.
