The Mesh are the Warden's foot-soldiers, his personal army of abominations. When the Warden first appeared in the wastelands, he presented an idea to help repel the threat of the R's- convert people to inorganic matter, thereby erasing the fear of infection. Though the idea was abhorrent, it was no less effective; with the Mesh, he cleared out entire cities that had become infested with R's, bringing lost territory back to humanity's tentative grip. 

After several years, however, his true colors showed. With enough support from his followers, and enough firepower from his Mesh, he established a new government called the NWL, or New World Leadership, and took control of just about everything. The Mesh are the backbone of the NWL, little more than single-minded drones with one purpose- serving the Warden. They are all former humans, though no one retains their humanity once they're converted. Conversions usually happen because of volunteers who take a deal to be converted so that their family members are given extra supplies and rations for the rest of their lives.

Their tones are almost always monotonous, uncaring, and often authoritative when giving commands.

Multiple people will be needed for this role as the Mesh are considered minor characters/extras in just about every instance they appear.
