Samantha, though most call her Sam, has spent most of her life simply trying to survive- and she's gotten pretty good at it. Found by Percival when she was just a child, the two of them have been through thick and thin, and even thinner together. They both eventually joined the Remnants, having heard the tales and legends that had been told and spread by Ben for years, believing that having no life was better than living in one with the tyranny of the Warden and the hardship of losing friends and family to R's.

At first Glance, Sam doesn't have a soft side- she's blunt, cynical, and often seemingly uncaring. However, beneath that stony exterior is a passionate fire, one that's fueled with hatred of the NWL, and the hope that one day, everything will be alright again. She initially dislikes Clark when he first arrives, believing him to be far too arrogant and selfish to properly lead the Remnants. But over time, her friendship with him grows, and she will eventually consider him to be her most trusted companion.

Her demeanor is usually cold and distant to people she doesn't know, and sometimes even to those she does. But every so often, Lucas is able to get her to crack a smile.
