Note: Being able to sing is a huge plus!

Sam is a neatfreak and an aspiring musician, he lives a minimalistic lifestyle and prefers to be alone most of the time, or with friends in a quiet place like a cafe or a library. He's very affectionate of those he likes, tends to stutter when excited or embarrassed, but is generally considered to be likable and charismatic. He's very passionate about his music but due to his perfectionist nature, hasn't ever properly released any of it.

Sam is one of the primary characters of the overall story, and as such will be appearing in multiple shorts with between two and twenty voice lines each. Payout is of course flexible and can be arranged on a per-video basis (or voluntarily.)

Sam is a scarfox, an original species developed by Kakiwa on deviantart. https://deviantart.com/scarfox-realm

  • (Appalled) Do you think I asked for this to happen to me? I don't even know why I'm here!

  • (Casual/Flattered) Oh well, it's not really a big deal y'know. It was a lot of work but I do think it's one of my best pieces.

  • (Surprised) Oh, well that's certainly something isn't it? I- well, huh..

Hey, thanks for your audition. This voice unfortunately isn't a fit for the role. I'd like to offer some feedback for your future auditions though. I feel one thing holding you back is the accent itself. I believe the "oh baby" at the start was to try and help get into character (correct me if I'm wrong.) This is a very good thing to do, but to keep practicing I'd suggest using longer repeat phrases and then adding onto those. It sort of trains your mind to know how to carry on the cadence and regional differences for smaller pieces. Ultimately continuing to practice accents overall is the best way to improve, this is strictly just for individual runs/roles of course though. The acting itself could do with a bit more energy, and possibly by speaking with a more projected voice (which can be achieved by standing if necessary too.) You sound a bit quiet and it is an aspect that can hold performances back. Overall, keep practicing and auditioning for more roles, practice makes perfect! :)
