Charon is a centuries old ghoul who was brainwashed at a young age to obey and protect whoever holds his contract. His delivery is flat and nearly matter-of-fact. 

  • I see that you have my contract in your possession. You are now my employer, for good or ill, and I am honor-bound to serve you. 

  •  I belong to no one. If you are my new employer, then I am obliged to follow your commands. 

  • I do not recommend this course of action. If my contract is destroyed, the terms dictate that I self-terminate. But I will not stop you if you wish to be rid of this burden.
