[Black British; straight]

[Any pitch; her voice must have the ability to be both motherly and sassy.]

[74 total lines/sound effects]

NOTE: I would love a broken-English approach to the lines for this character. Feel free to change the lines as necessary. Broken-English is recommended but not required.

If you are a voice actor of color and feel comfortable disclosing that information, please let me know in either your introduction or in a comment below your audition. I want to try and cast voice actors of color as characters of color for representational purposes if possible. If I cannot find a voice actor of color that suits Regina, I will cast a white voice actor, so don't let this discourage you from auditioning.

  • Introduce yourself!

  • 1. (smiling, overhearing) I believe this was the most customers we’ve had in quite some time, thanks to Miss Eliza.

    2. (reassuring, worried, sympathetic) Did you embarrass yourself? I’m sure it was nothing, dear-

  • 3. (chuckling, amused) Love, take a deep breath.

    4. (worn, hopeless, upset but composed) None of my treatments are working. He’s burning up.

    5. (consoling, sadly) It will take time - it may feel like an eternity - but eventually, you will begin to feel okay again.

I like your voice, but you're a little too close to your mic and it makes your recording a little hard on the ears. I'm downloading your audition to see if I can clear out some of the background noise as well! I would definitely welcome a re-audition if you'd like to try further from your mic.

I was able to clear out the background noise which is great! I did notice there was peaking in the file when I edited it in Audacity though, so when recording make sure to turn down your mic volume to get rid of those peaks! You can always increase volume in post editing, but you can't get rid of peaks.
