The main Yoshi leaves Mario after feeling abused by him and does things in spite of Mario, like join DK’s gang and befriend Link. He also fights Kirby a lot since the two often find themselves in the same areas scavenging for food.
Yoshi should speak in a voice similar to the Yoshi voice clips in Mario games.
(Scared) "Yoshi doesn't know about this. Yoshi kind of likes DK's offer."
(Sympathetic) "Yoshi knows how you feel, elf man. Yoshi needs comforting, too."
