About Arty Zara

About me:

Hi, my name is Arty Zara. I'm from Turkey. I am currently a senior in NYU Tisch, majoring in Drama. Right now, I am doing voiceovers mostly for fun, but someday, I would love to be a professional voice actress in addition to stage and film.

In addition to my interest in acting, I have also been taking violin lessons since I was 5 years old. I also like to sing, and have been taking voice/singing lessons for about 4 and a half years.

I love cartoons, they are one of the reasons I am interested in voiceover. My favorites are Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Steven Universe, Star vs the Forces of Evil, and Bojack Horseman. I also recently got into anime, some of my favorites being Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Hunter x Hunter.

I also love musicals, some of my favourites are Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (or any Dave Malloy musical for that matter), In the Heights, Falsettos, Heathers the Musical, Hadestown, and Beetlejuice.

I am a female, but I have a very deep voice. I have a mezzo-soprano/dramatic-soprano range as a singer.

Instructed by Daniel Spector, Darci Picoult, Donna Germain, Renee-Redding Jones, J. David Brimmer, Shanga Parker

I worked with classical text, worked on The Winter's Tale in the role of Camillo. I took acting and voice & speech classes, as well as stage combat and movement.

For specifically indie/lower budget projects, I use this guide put out by the Voice Acting Club.

What Arty Zara is looking for

I am a big fan of many franchises that are already out there, but my main passion is new works by artists who are determined to get their voices out there. I am a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy, and romance genres (with a flair for the dramatic), and will absolutely fall head-over-heels for an enemies-to-lovers storyline (I'm basic like that).

We were doing a Hamilton project (which sadly got cancelled) and I was the artist of their crew. Everyone was just so kind and welcoming and they were such fun people, including SmokeyQuartzzz. A very happy and social person and fun to work with, they are always up for a task and even did me a favor of voicing a certain character from a project I'm personally making. Would HIGHLY recommend!
