    About Zadal's Quest Book 1: The Evil King

    ---Deadline Extended!---

    The game is about a young dragon prince by the name of Zadal Aaron Ultimum. He is thrown from his home in the sky, Lydia, when he fights alongside his mother against his father, Celebrant. Zadal awakens to find he is in a strange place, a cabin. He is told he is safe from harm for now by his new friend, Steven Magna. After a short conversation Zadal decides his new goal is to find a way back up to Lydia to save his mother and the rest of the dragons from the tyranny of his father, Celebrant.


    A little about the lore and history.

    The dragons are able to manipulate the elements to their advantage. They are born with a main element and may also have a secondary element. The main element is able to become more powerful than the secondary element because the secondary element is unable to awaken it's second tier, while the first is.

    The dragons also have a right of passage were they use their 'baby' teeth, the ones they lose in childhood, to forge a weapon that they use for the rest of their life. These dragon's teeth weapons are able to be spawned and de-spawned with the help of their particle gloves. Particle gloves break down the dragon's weapon into thousands of particles that continuously float around their person until they are re-spawned with the particle glove later when needed.


    I feel like I should talk about how this idea originally formed.

    Back in 2008 I came up with a floating kingdom named "Lidya" (that's how it was spelled back then). I decided that it would be inhabited with dragon people who use the form of a human because of it's ease of use. Originally the dragons were very advanced with flying cars, warships, and mech suits. That's really all I had at that point, but I continued to design the people of "Lidya" and vehicles and buildings. Then, two years later in 2010, a 'little' game called Dragon Quest IX came out. In said game I created a character named Zadal, I'm not quite sure how I came up with that name, but I do know it was a play on my name, Zander. Zadal was originally a knight who lived on Lydia (I forgot how I spelled it back then and started spelling it this way). His main weapons were gauntlets with claws attached to them but he didn't have to ability to use the elements yet. Anyway a year later, in 2011, Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi came out and I created a very, very muscular African American joke character. I said his name was Steve and as a joke he was actually a very gentle, kind person. Then he kind of just turned into Zadal's best friend and joined him on Lydia. And finally, Eric Lux came to be one day when I created a Playmobil knight with white hair for my younger brother. I called him Eric the cleric and he was a very accomplished paladin. Writing this now I see how much they all have evolved in 7 years and I couldn't be more proud to call them my 'children'.


    Right now all I need is the characters that will appear in the demo. The voice acting will be very similar to Fire Emblem: Awakening, in fact, it will be pretty much the same thing. 

    I might be adding more in the future, but for now this is all I need.
