Project Overview

We, a small group of fans, have come together to make a fan trailer for the recently cancelled Yuri on Ice movie, Ice adolescence.

We hope to honour the show's legacy.

"Yuri!! on Ice" is a popular figure skating sports anime that aired in 2016. Known for its amazing lgbtq representation and a simple yet beautiful storyline it captured the hearts of millions across the globe. In 2017, Mappa had announced that it had a prequel movie centered around the back story of the character Viktor Nikiforov, named "Ice Adolescence" in the works, set to release in 2018. This date was eventually pushed back to 2019, and was further delayed due to the pandemic. Fast forward to April 2024, the company abruptly announced on twitter that the movie was cancelled, without any good reason. This caused an outrage in the community.

We hope through this project, we'll reach the "next level" that us fans have been waiting for, since the past almost 8 years.
