Project Overview
Hello! I'm SacredFaceVA co-head of Super Happy Abridged Fun Times and co-creator of a new Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged series, both alongside my good friend Inutsu! We've currently got episode 1 scripted, about 70% of the lines in and over 50% edited, BUT we're still missing a few pieces. That's where this audition thread comes in! We're only looking for a 1 or 2 voices at the moment but as we progress into the series we should be back with additional parts! Just as a warning, this series will contain some strong language, though we try to keep it to a minimum most of the time.

Recording and Contact information -
-For auditions record in mono .mp3 format. (If cast lines will be expected as mono .wav files)
-Save the lines as "charactername_yourname_linenumber.mp3" (ex: Yusuke_Inutsu_Line1.mp3)
Expectations - Actors will have 2 weeks to record lines. Additionally actors will be expected to do retakes if requested (deadline for retakes can be discussed at the time of request)
What Can You Expect - That's a good question! We won't ask you for lines until we've made significant progress on the episode (i.e. scripting done, our own lines recorded, editing well under way.) This isn't exactly the best way to do it for maximizing episode production, but it does ensure that if we ask you to record, you'll get a finished product to show for it!

Botan is the guide to the spirit world and a key character in the early episodes of Yu Yu Hakusho. She'll have a large number of lines in the early episodes of our series as well but if/when we make it a little ways into the series she'll become a more minor character. Similar in style to the Funimation dub, a generally happy voice is what we're looking for.

*Sigh* Alright if you insist. (Slightly annoyed but still relatively cheerful)
The main protagonist's mom. Not really any strong defining characteristics, only has 1 line in episode 1 and isn't currently planned to return (though if she does we would absolutely offer the opportunity to continue voicing her). Nothing to specific for her voice, but she is distraught over the death of her son (sort of) so bear that in mind.
