YouTube Voice Actor

Project Overview

We’re hiring a YouTube Voice Actor for videos about movies, cartoons, and pop culture (analysis, storytelling, commentary, lists, and occasional deep-dives).

We want a voice that feels natural and conversational, y’know like you’re talking to a friend. Maybe even someone who isn’t your friend just yet.

If you think that is you, feel free to audition with the lines provided in the post!

Have you ever talked to a friend in a bar?Great, then you are what we are looking for!

We’re looking for a YouTube Voice Actor for longform narration (video essays / commentary). The tone should feel conversational and human, not over-the-top, and definitely not robotic or commercial like.

Any accent is welcome really. Just looking for:

Native-level English (or extremely fluent) with clear pronunciation

Natural pacing + good storytelling instincts (you know when to slow down / emphasize)

Ability to deliver both calm reflective moments and energetic hooks

Clean audio quality (no room echo, hiss, keyboard noise, etc.)

Reliable turnaround + easy communication

Deliverables

1 clean audio file per script

Demo lines (feel free to do about 3 takes of your conversational feeling for the highest chance at success):

This scene from The View From Halfway Down terrified the Bojack out of me. I thought it was a dream. Then I realized I was wrong. It’s not just about Bojack’s sins finally catching up with him. It’s about the ultimate human act. One we don’t like talking about.
