Welcome to the Your Turn To Die Fan Dub. This is a passion project made by fans for fans of the indie-horror game Your Turn to Die presented by Nankidai. This is a non-profit passion project. We hope you enjoy!
What is Your Turn To Die?:
Kimi ga Shine ―Tasuketsu Death Game―'' (キミガシネ ―多数決デスゲーム―) or ''Your Turn to Die ―Death Game By Majority―'', created by Nankidai and translated by vgperson. ''Kimi ga Shine'' is about high school student Sara Chidouin, who is forced into participating in a Death Game with her best friend, Joe Tazuna. She must figure out why she was chosen for such a detestable game and above all else, survive.
Requirements:
-Must be 14 years of age or more
-USB mic quality or higher, no phone or computer built in mics. Including the ability to clean your own audio and export as .wav files
-Try to stay relatively active!
-You MUST have a Discord account (along with following Discord guidelines!)
-Commitment is prioritized! A majority of the chapter 1 cast becomes significant characters for the rest of the game
-Please respect your fellow VAs!
-Don't be afraid to ask questions.
This one's self explanatory but MAJOR spoilers inbound! It's recommended you have some knowledge of the game before auditioning, and preestablished fans are encouraged! This is a passion project after all.

Keiji Shinogi (篠木シノギ 敬二ケイジ, Shinogi Keiji?) was a police detective and is one of the 20 chosen participants to play in the Death Game.
A very calm and collected character. Looking for a deeper voice, preferably clear and smooth.
“You got it. So don’t trouble your friendly policeman. …Well, not that I’m really that sort of cop.” (Casual, nonchalant)
"… …Hahah. Hah hah hah hah! What are you, my mom? Hahaha! Wahah… … Ahh, that was a good laugh… All right, I’ll explain. …I shot a person. Since then… I haven’t been able to fire a gun." (Sarcastic,honest, not really taking the situation too seriously at first)
"Do I look that calculating? That comes as a real shock. It’s just intuition. I’m confident in my eye for people." (Rhetorical question, nonchalant)
Q-taro Burgerberg (バーガーバーグ Q太郎Qタロウ, Bāgābāgu Q Tarō?) is a baseball pitcher and one of the 20 participants in the Death Game.
A very exclaim-y and mostly friendly character. Although tends to be quite selfish at times with some prominent anxiety/paranoia concerning the death game that leads to most selfish decisions. Looking for a deeper voice with a north American southern accent.
“I’m Q-taro Burgerburg! Baseball player! Yeah, I’m a ball player, but if ya work out too much and hurt’cherself, you’ll never hit the big leagues.” (Enthusiastic, welcoming)
“Straight to the point: I got experience handlin’ guns. So leave bein’ the Challenger to me. Not a lotta people in this country who handle guns. My experience is valuable, ain’t it? (Serious, doubtful, a bit self centered)
“People who drag things down... are doomed to die sooner or later...! That's true for me... and it's true for you too, right? Don't matter if you're an adult or a kid right now!” (Serious, exclaiming)
Reko Yabusame (八分雨ヤブサメ 澪子レコ, Yabusame Reko?) is one of the 20 chosen to participate in the Death Game. She is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter.
Reko comes off as a very "rough around the edges" character, tending to come off quite assertive especially in comparison to other female characters. Although she is outwardly kinder to those younger than her in an almost big sister manner. Looking for a voice akin to that of Marceline from Adventure Time, a bit deeper in the female range but still smooth and perhaps a little hoarse.
"Reko Yabusame. I'm a singer-songwriter. Just like the gaudy guy said, my band's made enough of a name to get into magazines." (Casual, calm, laid back)
"Kanna!! Dammit, you nutty professor! What happened to "shout when you find her"?! (Aggressive, angry, overprotective)
"Sure, Mishima was the first to lie...! And I dunno if that was right or not...! But guess what?! There was hope in Kanna's eyes! You know how hard it is to show hope to a person who's heart's been snapped...?!" (Aggressively assertive, emotional, trying to "snap some sense" into another character)
Nao Egokoro (絵心エゴコロ 菜緒ナオ, Egokoro Nao?) is an art college student and one of the 20 chosen to participate in the Death Game.
Nao is initially very timid and shy and starts off very solitary only associating with Profressor Mishima at first. She idolizes Mishima and defends him to a exaggerated extent. At the same time, she's emotional yet clever. Concerning voice direction, looking for a higher pitched range, a little shaky yet gentle.
“I-I’m a former student of Professor Mishima’s! Currently at an art college! My name is Nao Egokoro! It’s thanks to Professor Mishima that I attend an art college now! The professor’s a good person! Please believe me! Saraaaa!!” (Anxious, attempting to be convincing)
“...I've been hiding here the whole time with the lights turned off... Since if the kidnappers find me, they'll take him...” (Scared, disarranged, more of a whisper tone)
“...Okay...I've always been... getting saved by them... So from now on... I want to be useful to Reko, and Sara, and everyone... That's why... I'm... going now, professor.” (Attempting to be strong, selfless, holding back tears)
Kai Satou (佐藤サトウ 戒カイ, Satou Kai?) is a self-proclaimed homemaker and one of the 20 participants in the Death Game.
Kai tends to be very solitary compared to the other characters but still silently works hard towards the group's escape. Voice wise almost always comes off as calm and quiet, almost similar sounding to Korekiyo Shinguji from DRV3. Can have moments where he exclaims and raises his voice more than normal but almost always quiet. Mid to low male range.
"I am Kai Satou. A rather unremarkable homemaker. Hm...My best meal is Eggs Benedict." (Calm and collected)
"Forgive me. The hand with the frying pan must have slipped...On the contrary...I ask that you don't think you'll be getting away with so little as this." (Initially sarcastic, then angry undertones while still keeping his cool)
"If you refuse, I will hand this key to someone else. Please, miss Nao. I am not the only one who will be in trouble if I do not get that laptop." (Tense, threatening)
Kazumi Mishima (三島ミシマ 和己カズミ, Mishima Kazumi?) is a high school teacher and one of the 20 chosen to participate in the Death Game.
Coming off as quite the odd character Mishima is actually very sentimental and good-natured and kind underneath his suspicious exterior. Could see anything from high-mid to low range for Mishima along with a more professional and charismatic inflection to really show off the teacher aspect of his character.
"Hello, I am Kazumi Mishima. I teach at a certain high school...Mwahaha...It was a joyous day. My students wished to be taught oil painting, so I held a lesson at my secret atelier…” (Calm, very welcoming)
"W-W-W-What are you speaking of?! There's nothing...! Indeed...! Ooghhh...! A teacher like myself would not smoke...!" (Extremely defensive, voice more exaggerated compared to normal, tense)
“There’s nothing to fear in failure. A person’s life does not end there. As long as you live on… Happiness will surely come to you!” (Comforting, reassuring, calm)
Alice Yabusame (八分雨ヤブサメ アリス, Yabusame Arisu? ) , initially introducing himself as Gonbee Yamada, is one of 20 participants chosen to play in the Death Game. He first appears inside a locker in the Red Room on the First Floor.
Alice is a character that runs on very short fuse and is very distrusting of others initially. Because of this he often pushes the others away but with time he is shown to be very caring on the inside. Voice wise looking for mid to low male range sporting an audible gruff.
“Hmph... I was adept at hiding from wardens. Don't make light of me!” (Confident, nonchalant, matter of fact)
"Why is SHE walking around freely?! Hurry, hurry! Somebody capture her!! I know! Oh yes I do! This girl is bad news!!" (Panicked/Scared, Very Accusatory)
“I had thought Reko was a superhuman with a will of steel. I finally realized... she was just human too. I've never... regretted something more...” (Compassionate, calm/soft, caring)
Emiri Harai (原井 笑理, Harai Emiri), better known as Sue Miley or Hoemi (ホエミー, Hoemī?), the "Laughing Doll," is the Floor Master of the first and second floors in the facility and host of the first Main Game.
Being chapter 1's antagonist, we're looking for a smooth mid to low-mid range mature female voice. Miley is a sadistic matter of fact character giving her an almost elegant tone to her voice. She is definitely not a sane character by all means and this should be reflected in her inflection.
“Heehee. My name is Sue Miley, the Laughing Doll. I am the doll who will guide you on this floor. Ehee. My master has instructed me to guide you brave souls, who have overcome several trials, to the Main Game.” (Sinister, enthused)
"Gah...You little...!! ...Don't think you can do this...and just get away scot-free...!!" (Injured, caught off guard, angered)
"You annoy me, you powerless little girl… …No. You sister-killer. Hahaha, I saw all of it. How miserable you were in your First Trial, Kanna. Your actions killed your sister.” (Sinister, "rubbing salt on the wound")
Meister (アルジー, Arujī?), is literally the "master" of the Blue Room and MC of Russian Roulette.
Note that while a minor character in chapter 1, Meister does return for a role in chapter 3 so keep that in mind!!
Meister is quite bold and straightforward character. With him running the sub game, he takes on a very announcer type role and this should definitely be reflected in his voice. Meister can be a bit more free range, somewhere between mid to low pitches. The main focus should be on making him sound confident, sophisticated, and calm.
“Ha ha ha. Don’t sweat the details. I’m the master of the room. You can call me Meister.” (Nonchalant, sinister tone)
“This one’s simple! Right now, there’s you five humans in this room, right? Glance around the room…! There’s four open seats. One will be the Challenger, and the other four’ll sit down and be targets.” (Bold)
"No complaints here, you win! Seems like this puzzle was a piece of cake for you!" (Valiant)
