Wonder Woman: Perilous Paradise
Project Overview
Wonder Woman: Perilous Paradise follows Diana Prince in her efforts to prevent a war between her adopted home of America and her native home, the Island of Themyscira. Enlisting the help of cultural anthropologist Dr. Barbara Minerva, Diana attempts to merge these two worlds, but with the interventions of Ares, a warlord bent of corrupting Diana to do his bidding, Barbara is transformed into a spirit of violence that sparks a conflict between two already strained nations.
This film is a collaborative effort between GravityFilms4 (https://www.youtube.com/@gravityfilms4) and SBS Productions (https://www.youtube.com/@sbsproductions996), two independent animators who specialize in stop-motion, produced by the Lego DC Universe (https://www.youtube.com/@LegoDCUniverse).

Sculpted from clay and given life by the gods, Diana Prince lived a life in paradise on the island of Themyscira. However, when a man from America became deserted on the island, she travelled to his home and adopted a life protecting those in need as the heroine Wonder Woman.
She is the protagonist of this story, and her primary character conflict comes as she tries to prevent a war between the American government and her sisters on Themyscira. Additionally, the god of war Ares is in her ear throughout, attempting to goad her into taking his side as a harbinger of war.
When voicing Diana, keep in mind that she has a deeper voice, one that's commanding yet passionate and soft. This is a person that isn't afraid to fight for what she believes in, but will always first lend a hand. Consider her like a diplomat.

If this world has taught me anything Steve, it’s that it’s full of miracles.
I know, in my heart, in my soul, that there is more to this world than fear, than darkness.
A sworn enemy of Wonder Woman, before she was the villainous Cheetah, Dr. Barbara Minerva was once a friend to Diana.
Barbara is very much part of the emotional core of this story. She's not only travelling to the island in hopes of preventing Themyscira from going to war with the world, she seemingly falls for Diana's grace and humility. They share a powerful bond made all the more tragic when she's transformed in the spirit of violence and hunger by the god of war, Ares. Blinded by rage, Barbara becomes lost in her ways, and the climax of the film sees her turn on Diana.
With Barbara, I'm looking for someone who can establish a natural curiosity, as well as subtle feelings of attraction and desire. Curiosity, love, hunger, pain, these are complex emotions that are all vital to Barbara. It should also be noted that she has a British accent.

Don’t lie to me, Diana! This isn’t about peace! This is about power!
The rage I felt… the willingness to fight. It was animalistic. And it didn’t come from Ares. It… came from me.
The primary antagonist of the film, Ares is a specter, floating amongst the minds of those who would do harm onto others... the god of war. Ares seeks to insight anger amongst the people of the world, but is forbidden by his father, Zeus. Because of this, Ares seeks to make Wonder Woman his apprentice, a pawn through which his bidding can be done.
Ares should have a very deep voice, one that is booming and demands respect. Don't be afraid to be loud and dramatic!

Daughter of Hippolyta. Gift of the gods. Harbinger of destruction.
You dare speak with such insolence to a god?!
Think of all that you could accomplish. All you would need to do, is submit to me.
The first man that Wonder Woman ever encountered. Since then, the two have developed an on-again, off-again romance. As tensions between the American government and the Amazons have increased, Steve acts as military liaison, providing assistance both to the government and Diana.
Steve also serves as a sort of comedic relief to parts of the story. In many respects, the events of the film are of a very high stakes, but Steve is able to poke fun and lighten the mood, perhaps not always to everyone's amusement. Keep that in mind when voicing Steve, I'm looking for someone who's funny, but also can maintain professionalism. Another trait I'm absolutely looking for is a sense of vulnerability in his more personal scenes with Diana.

Don't you just love legally gray areas?
It’s a total breach of government security, I know! But I can’t sleep.
You know, it’s occurring to me that I’m always the one that has to help you unpack your suitcases. You have super strength!
The mother of Wonder Woman and Queen of the Amazons. Hippolyta finds herself in a difficult situation in this film as she must face a potential war with America. However, though she has her reservations, she keeps faith in her daughter Diana. This is the key to Hippolyta's character in this film (though she is only a supporting character): her faith in her daughter.
There's a sense of authority that Hippolyta must maintain, as she is the queen of the Amazons, and there are scenes in which she's seen discussing diplomatic matters with the American government where this attitude shines through, but I'm also looking for that familiar, motherly sense of care that she has in her daughter.

We’ve lived in perfect peace without you. And if you’re not interested in protecting that peace, then I have little interest in signing your treaty.
My people precede democracy. We witnessed its birth in Athens millennia ago.
Unrelated to Barbara Minerva, Priscilla Rich is a petty criminal in Gateway City who wears a leopard leotard, committing crimes as the villainous Cheetah!
Priscilla has a mature voice, and she's portrayed as a sort of pulpy, stereotypically evil character. Think of a 1950s serial where the hero stops the villain. She's not a character with particular depth. She robs banks. That is to say, have fun being comically evil!

Now, now, let’s not get over-zealous, dear. There’s no need to harm anyone. That is, of course, assuming this young man here does as I ask.
Me-yow. Now this is a score! Boys, let’s not doddle, shall we? I believe we’ve taken enough of these good people’s time.
Wonder Woman, I should’ve known you’d come flying in to save the day!
Donna Troy was rescued from a burning building as a young girl by Wonder Woman and taken in by the Amazons. Over time, she trains and becomes Diana's sidekick by the end of the film.
Donna is just a side character in this film, but a character that will return in the future, whether it be in a sequel or spin-off (please bear this in mind if you're auditioning! This is a small role but a character that will return). She brings a sense of youth and idealistic optimism that isn't present within some of the other characters.

Take it from me, the Amazons are nothing if not welcoming.

Batman’s got a sidekick. So does Superman. What do ya’ say? Partners?
Circe is an extremely minor part of this film, only appearing in the last scene, but she's one that will certainly return in the event of a sequel. A witch that's come in conflict with Wonder Woman multiple times, she reaches out to Ares at the end of the film to offer an alliance.
I'd like to highlight several aspects of Circe's character, namely her wickedness and her conniving nature. A good example of what I'm looking for is just her appearance in Justice League Unlimited.

Take it from me, the enemies of Wonder Woman are nothing if not resilient.
From my point of view, this place isn't much of anything right now. Least of all a domain fit for a god.
