wilting : VISUAL NOVEL
Project Overview
Wilting is an indie passion project that is planned to be made into a visual novel.
A 2D psychological story about grief, burnout, the lies we tell ourselves to cover hurtful truths or to survive and more. Our story follows a 23 year old mentally ill male called Darren Michel, spiralling after losing both his parents and the proclaimed love of his life. We venture into his struggles and who/what surrounds him during them.

ROLES CURRENTLY NEEDING CASTING:
DARREN MICHEL - our protagonist
quiet, exhausted, sarcastic at times
mid range masculine voice, generally I am open to higher or lower voices. I don't have an exact vision.
ranges -> numb - panicked - fragile hope - screaming.
HEATHER MICHEL - our protagonists older sister
Positive, outgoing, kind, breaking.
A voice alike to Ramona Flowers from scott pilgrim takes off
Ranges -> Cheerful - confused - heart broken - worried - soft
ELI COOPER - Darren's best friend and co-worker.
– funny, sarcastic, sweet
Medium - low range.
Ranges -> patient - frustrated - soft - yelling
DR CROW - Darren’s therapist.
Soft, tired, kind
Can be interrupted as male or female! I would like somewhat of a soft Irish accent to it though.
RANGES -> professional - gentle - firm.
THE LANDLORD - literally just the landlord
