Will You Be Mine? (Might Be Changed Later) || WEBTOON PROJECT
Project Overview
Hello auditioners! Welcome to a project that I will be working on for Webtoon that I need some help with! This project is an LGBTQ+ based project where we will be showing off gay representation. I've been inspired by the webtoons comic "Heartstopper", but will not be bluntly copying the plot exactly. I have thought up an idea that I have always wanted to turn into a comic, or a voiced acted series. But for right now I just want to make this a comic series on webtoons, and then maybe in the future, if it gets good reviews and has a good fanbase might turn it into an animated series on YouTube.
The Project ~
The project is called "Will You Be Mine?" the name might change in the future if my team has a better name for it after we do some storyboards and more. The story follows this 16 year old boy named Luke who believes he is straight at first, but learns later on in the story he is most definitely not. Luke has a best friend named Mandy, who is always pushing him to do crazy and adventurous actions in his life as she always tells him "Your life is too boring, so do something about it". Luke is invested in this book where the main character is different than everyone else in his town, and he gets bullied for it. Until the main character finds a quite different lover than anyone else's. This novel inspires Luke in a way to be himself, but he doesn't quite know what his true self is exactly. He only follows whatever else in his grade does, as he doesn't want to be different from the rest. That is until he meets this boy named Paxton whom he gets this very strong connection towards, and not just in a friend way. Luke develops romantic feelings for Paxton, which confuses Luke dramatically as he always thought of himself as straight. Luke hides his feelings for Paxton as he doesn't even know if Paxton is gay or not, but likely for Luke Paxton is and he has the same feelings for Luke. Throughout the whole story, they are trying so hard to see if each other feels the same way for one another, while Luke tries to figure out his sexuality. Until the beginning of Spring, Luke finally gains the courage to ask out Paxton and from there on his once "boring" life, as Mandy would describe it becomes more exciting and adventurous.
REQUIREMENTS ~
Here are the requirements for auditioning:
- You must have discord. When you submit your audition, please state your name, and your discord tag so I can contact you if needed.
- You must be 13+ in order to audition due to discord's terms of service.
- This is an unpaid project as of now. If money is made of course, I will come up with a way to pay the whole team equally.

I will be taking up to maybe 4-6 writers. If you gain this position you will be helping with the storyboards and coming up with episode ideas for the series. I am planning for at least maybe 3 volumes of this series if possible.

Hello auditioning artist! You have a very important and special role, of course, since this is going to be a comic, finding good styles of artwork that match together is critical. So I will be choosing up to 3-4 artists to help with this project.
When submitting your audition, please provide examples of colored art, black and white art, and logos. If possible, please try and only show off your character designs.

This is for background drawings/art. When auditioning for this position I will be taking up to 4-5 people to create the background of the comic series. Make sure when auditioning you are just showing off your background art.
