What I'm After;
As a first-time writer working on audio dramas, I am woefully underprepared and in dire need of help. As such, I am looking for an assistant director to bounce ideas off of. The scripts have been revised and finalized, the storyline just needs some fine-tuning.
The Radio Drama’s set to resume airing in early 2022, so I'm also looking for voice actors of any and all experience levels to volunteer their talents. You can be in any part of the world. As long as you have recording equipment, an email, and some passion, you’re good to go!
For your audition, send in your audio recordings by March 10th, 2022 to [redacted]. In your audition, please include your name, whom you are auditioning for, and a little about yourself.
Audition dialogue will be provided in the attached txt. files for download. Your audition MUST come from the txt. files, in order to give us a feel of how you would portray that character. Dialogue must be 45-60 seconds long. Some characters will include further audition requirements as listed below. The ages listed for the characters is not a requirement for the actor, but merely how they should be portrayed. Audition with whatever voice you will be using for the character should you be selected.
People willing to do multiple characters are preferable, but not a deciding factor. If you are interested in playing more than one character, please state so at the beginning of your audition and state which character goes with which voice.
We will be looking for acting as well as sound quality, so keep that in mind when choosing your recording location and time. So turn off air conditioning/fans, avoid rooms with empty walls, get rid of any other talking going on, and don’t sit on noisy furniture.

An Alpaca beatnik raised by a single father in Sahara Square, this laid-back connoisseur of culture cares about three things; sticking it to the man, maintaining his thick wooly coat and attracting the ladies. Everything else is secondary, like the flow of his home.
It's all transitory, man. Nothin' in this manufactured jungle's gonna harsh this wanderer's buzz. So, when do we eat?
Hey, I can't help it if the senoritas like to get with this fluff. I'm like a walking good luck charm, ya dig?

Mayor of Zootopia, Juliette can be described in a few words; Tough, firm, authoritative and stern as steel. A career politician to the bone, having been the District Representative of Zootopia's Rainforest Distric until her election in 1956, and a longtime political ally of Mayor Peggy Swinton, she has worked tirelessly to maintain an appearance as one of the city's most benevolent, cleanest individuals in high society.
As a widowed single mother of two and a fervent advocate for the Taming Collars, she believes that Predators can be only be reintegrated back into society, when their savage instincts have been bred out and their descendants cowed to serve their moral superiors. But deep down, she is still unable to move on from her husband's death. And now, at the height of her political power, she is willing to do whatever it takes to protect her City. If if she has to dirty her meticulously clean image in the process.
One day, Frederick, when you have your own children, you will understand what it means to sacrifice something for a greater good.
That may be. But they’ll have to earn our trust by proving they can be civilized, productive members of society. And given there has been an increase in Predator-perpetrated crime around Happytown, the likelihood of that happening is very slim indeed.
[FIRM] If they can't or won't see that we're trying to save their slum-dwelling hides from extinction, then let them perish.

A wisecracking wannabe comedian with a heart of gold and a Napoleon Complex to rival other smaller rodent, Max dreams of one day becoming a famous comedian. Never seen without Juan Carleone.
Relax, Teach, I'm being gentle as a kitten.
That's easy; look at anything in this room that could kill ya and imagine they're naked. The punchlines write themselves.

A grizzled War Veteran-turned boxing instructor residing Downtown, Ulfric Brownstone runs his own Boxing Emporium with money earned from doing dock work. Took on Frederick as an apprentice, seeing a great deal of himself in the young fox.
(CALM)I know you'll do better than me, kiddo. Only question is whether you can let yourself believe that. Now c'mon, sparring time's wasting.
(STERN) That’s enough. Lay a hoof on 'im and it'll be the sorriest day of your life.
(CALM) I may be old, but I'm definitely not THAT ancient. When I was your age, I used to carry booze from one part of town to the other. Using these tunnels as cover. Maybe that'll help ya get your friend somewhere safe.

Two kilotons of dynamite wrapped in a tiny package, Louie Big is a rising teenage screen heartthrob who's best known for his role as stoic biker Baldrick Malone in 'Furrious Frenzy!' and as the handsome prince in Kinderella. Even when not on the set, he is normally cool and collected under pressure. But in the Underworld, Louie's the black sheep of his criminal familia, earning their ire because of his refusal to enter into the family business.
Not a fan of rock'n'roll music, even flying into a blind rage if he happens to hear it playing in the background.
[APATHETIC] An autograph, huh? Sure, I ain't got nowhere else to go. [PEN SCRIBBLING] To Emmy...hope I win ya...yours truly...Louie Big.
I do what is best for the familia, just like you. Only difference is, you choose to slink around in the shadows. That's for the losers. I ain't a loser.
[STOIC] What're you looking at, gramps? Ain't seen public disobedience before?
Singer
Famed Jazz singer residing in Otterdam, as well as a longtime friend of co-singer Rattoni Spinatra, Samuel has been around other musicians since after the War. As passionate on stage as he is behind the stage, Samuel is an outspoken critic of the Taming Collar initiative, even among the most liberal mammals among the Zootopian elite. But how long can he keep his love for Rattoni a secret?
Likes to hang around in the seedier bars, earning a living by playing saxophone for any rising star that attracts his eye.

Even the largest city in the world needs someone to keep watch. That's where the Police come in; to make sure ordinary Zootopians can sleep safely at night. In this day and age, the ZPD was much harder on Criminal Predators than they are in the present day, maintaining a strict rule of curfew for Predator-occupied areas like Happytown or Tundratown. There are even rumors that a few highly notable arrests might've been approved thanks to forged evidence from interrogated suspects.
At this stage in history, the ZPD hired exclusively male herbivores. It wouldn't be until 1963 that the ZPD opened its' doors for the first female officer, Alicia Pacha.
[STERN] Eyes to the ground, pred.
[RELAXED] See, my old lady's been thinkin' of moving to Sahara Square. The living rates in Downtown are enough to make her tusks fall off.
[CAUTIOUS] Two-four to dispatch, we got some suspicious movement comin' from outside Happytown.

Even in Zootopia, those who don't belong in the day-to-day grind of modern society are likely to distance themselves from 'The Mammal's stifling control. Some of these teenage outcasts form various street gangs, sticking to the alleyways, bowling alleys and malt shops.
The most numerous of which are the Carrotside Stompers, the Orphiennes [Oh-Fee-Ens] and the Cold Cobras.

Inspired by famous pulp and radio vigilante The Shadow, The Silhouette is an in-universe serialised crime drama that was popular in Zootopia from 1946 to 1957. Its’ shadowy protagonist, the titular Silhouette, is a reclusive vigilante that prowls the dark underbelly of Zootopia’s criminal element, bringing brutal justice to those who threaten his city or endanger the innocent.
[WARY] Something's watching us. It feels like....a shadow has passed over this house.
[FEARFUL] It's the Silhouette! Waste 'im!

Inspired by Lemont Cranston from The Shadow, The Silhouette is Zootopia's version of this terrifying avenger.
