Hello everyone who has auditioned for and followed this project!
First off I wanna thank everyone so much for their continued interest in helping out with this project!! With over 125 total auditions it was a little overwhelming this amount of great auditions to choose from.
I went ahead and closed auditions for this project and will be making my casting decisions tonight. I apologize if there was anyone who hasn't had a chance to audition yet and wanted to- but I do have a good shortlist for every character needed. Keep note there WILL be future chapters that will have auditions so don't get too discouraged if you didn't get a shot, another chance will come for a different story!
Please be sure to keep a lookout for a note and another update from me for casting offers and announcements, especially if you were shortlisted for this.
The full completed chapter should be posted on Halloween if all goes well!

I see you have stumbled across this project casting call, Please allow me to quickly introduce myself.
You can call me Loor, and I am a hobbyist audio-drama director & producer for over 10 years.
I have recently started up my first original audio drama series titled “Whump World!”
So I'm sure you may be wondering-“What in God's name is a whump?!"
I'll explain in the best way I can:
Whumps are pretty much a slang defined as ""a fiction/fanfiction term to describe physical pain and/or mental abuse inflicted upon a character in a story."
(Link to urban dictionary definition provided.)
If anything is tagged with #whump in it, then it’s most likely gonna feature a character going through some sort of physical or emotional pain.
Now I know what you might be thinking, "Why would you want to do an audio series with such terrible traumatic things like this?"
Well, for one it's completely fictional- two it can kind of be relatable on some aspects, and three is that it can showcase the worst parts of human nature to an extent that you'd want to see it to the end with a more satisfactory conclusion.
So then you might ask, what's the difference between a any old story that features horrible torturous pain and trauma, and Whump World?
These are my 2 basic rules to it:
1. The whumpee character is always fictional, and is required to be an inhuman being. (Vampire, werwolf, mer, zombie, immortal, winged, ect. ect.)
AND
2. The whump story will ALWAYS end on a satisfactory comfort, with a supporting comforting situation or character coming in to help relieve the whumpee of their terrible experience. (I.E. "it's gonna be ok.")
Ok so now that you have a little better insight to what a whump is, Let me introduce you to a new and unique thing I’m doing for My Youtube Channel, which currently has over 22k subscribers as well as some fan-made audio drama series that I have done in the past. So rest assured, I do have a good bit of experience in doing things like this.
Whump World! is a dramatic narrational reading series of short whump stories that are submitted to or collaboratively written with me.
These stories would usually be around 14-1500 words or so & are converted or originally written in a way to be spoken as an 10-15 minute oneshot audio-drama.
The Narration is the big bulk of it of course, but there will also be very short speaking roles for the characters as well as sound effects and suspenseful bgm.
Whatever you may think of whumps or audio-dramas in general, I do believe this project is worth in giving a shot and trying out for something new & unique!
With the help of CastingCallClub, I have successfully produced the first chapter of Whump World featuring a captured merman named Alek who winds up lost and injured in the middle of a city street.

AND WILL GIVE YOU A VERY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT IT’S GONNA LOOK LIKE ONCE COMPLETE!
This casting call is for the SECOND chapter of the Whump World series, featuring a vampire named Maxx who has to have his fangs forcefully pulled every night.
We have our narrator so we’re only casting for new needed main and extra characters.
Here are the current open roles:
MAXX(MAIN CHARACTER):
Maxx is the main whumpee character of this second story. He is a ‘virgin-fanged’ vampire held captive to become a literal fang factory for a business that discreetly/illegaly sells vampire fangs to witch & warlock buyers. Every night his fangs are forcibly pulled just for them to grow back the next day. He is fed just enough blood, usually through a bag to keep him alive & is heavily chained up and kept inside of a protective barrier the rest of the time to keep from escape. He has been there for presumably weeks, but this story will cover 3 of his last days there.
Maxx’s character and vampire story is inspired by Mika from the Seraph of the End anime. While by no means do we want an exact copy of his English voice actor at all, something similar to it but with a bit of your own original twist would be what we’re leaning towards as ideal. You’re also are more than welcome to try a unique take of your own for it.
THIS CHARACTER WILL REQUIRE SOME LOUD SCREAMS, GRUNTS, MOANS OF PAIN AND SUCH. YOU DO NOT NEED TO INCLUDE THIS WITH YOUR AUDITION LINES, BUT IF YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE A PREVIOUS EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS YOU’VE DONE BEFORE PLEASE DO SEND IT WITH YOUR AUDITION LINES FOR CONSIDERATION!
SAMPLE LINES:
1. (slightly annoyed) “Ugh…Not again.”
2. (yearning) “I’m…So thirsty!”
3. (furiously) “Why should I? After what you did to me?! You deserve to be ripped apart right now!”
ELENA(MAIN CHARACTER)
Elena is a full-fledged royal vampiress who comes in to save Maxx. She has a title of “Elena the eager” though it’s not yet revealed why exactly she is called that.
Looking for someone with a somewhat mature and sensual voice, Would like an american voice but British and Italian accents are allowed for consideration.
SAMPLE LINES:
1. “Poor thing. Looks like I got here just in time.”
2. “ I sent my familiar to find you. You may have seen him, he’s a small bat. As soon as he told me your whereabouts, I came as quickly as I could.”
3. " Since he does not have the power of a full fledged vampire yet, I’ve agreed to make sure you won’t die."
EXTRAS
These are the one/two liner roles for extra character voices needed any type of voice audition is accepted as long as it’s male and in English of course.
GUARD
1. “Get up freak, It’s time for the chair again.”
2. “Walk!”
OWNERS 1 & 2
1. (Owner 1) “Look at all this! I knew we’d make a profit, but I never thought people would pay this much just for the fangs of one of those freaks.”
2. (Owner 2): “This new client, Elena- she pays very well, and this isn’t even all of it! We’re going to be rolling in it for the rest of our lives!” (chuckles)
BAT FAMILAR
1. “Do not fear, she’s coming for you.”
DOCTOR
1. (Pleading/scared) “Please! Don’t hurt me- Let me go!”
2. “Wh-what are you going to do?”

This is a paying project so you are guaranteed the payment offered for the specific role should you be casted.
