Project Overview
Whispers from the Void is an eldritch horror podcast set in modern day Houston, Texas. It revolves around a pair of friends Richard and Jason, who uncover a cult within the city dedicated to bring about the reign of their elder god. The story follows their journey to uncover the truth being the cult, trying to stop them and their descent into madness.
Currently looking to add a couple new cast members to our show. These three are reoccurring roles within the show. Even though episode 1 isn't out, we have finished work on the script for episode 2, and want to make sure we have those voices needed. We are also looking on adding extra background voices.
Requirements:::
18+ - the show is going to deal with death, strong language, and other fun themes of that nature. So, that being said, we would like someone 18 or over.
Microphone quality - no background noise, clear voice
No editing - other than taking our background noise, we do not want any editing done to your takes.
2-3 takes, if you have lines for your character
Discord, we will be communicating through there, so it would best to have that way he a means of contact.
With all that being said, thank you for taking a look at our project! And if you happen to have any questions in regards to auditions, send them our way at: brokenvoidproductions @ gmail

Raised in a family steeped in the occult, The Vizier was groomed from a young age to take on his role. Educated in both law and ancient arcane lore, he bridges the world of men and mysteries. Despite his authoritative role, there are whispers about his true allegiance and the mysterious council he represents, making him a figure of both respect and fear.
Voice Profile: Deep, commanding, and resonant, with a measured cadence that conveys wisdom and an unsettling undercurrent of power. His voice should carry a gravitas that reflects his experience and the weight of the decisions he makes.
No specific accent in mind, however if you do put on an accent, I'd like a take without one please.

Direction: Convey a sense of foreboding and wisdom, as if revealing a hidden truth to a novice. Line: "You seek the keys to the vaults of hidden knowledge, but be warned, not all secrets yearn to be known. Their power is not bestowed lightly.
Direction: Deliver with a mix of intrigue and subtle warning, as if testing the listener's resolve. Line: "Tell me, what is your true desire? Speak it aloud, and know that once spoken, it cannot be taken back. Such is the weight of words in our world.
Direction: Commanding and slightly ominous, hinting at hidden dangers only he is aware of. Line: Heed this, seeker: the path you wish to tread is fraught with peril not just to the body, but to the soul. Many are called to the darkness, few return unscathed.
Victor comes from a less privileged background, having earned his place in the legal field through scholarships and relentless determination. He discovered his interest in the supernatural during a mysterious incident in his early life, which has driven him to pursue cases that others shun. Despite his success, he remains haunted by the incident that sparked his career path.

Direction: Express a blend of idealism and realism, reflecting on the personal impact of his work. Line: I’ve seen too much to turn back now. Yes, pursuing these shadows might cost me, but the cost of ignoring them? That would be far greater, both to me and to those without a voice.
Direction: Deliver with a fiery passion, as if arguing a point in court, demonstrating his fervor for justice. Line: Every file, every case note I’ve ever read, speaks to me not just of laws but of lives. These aren't just legal puzzles; they're human stories, and they deserve to be heard.
Direction: Convey determination mixed with a reflective quality, as if sharing his motivations with someone he trusts. Line: Growing up where I did, you learn quickly that justice isn't just a concept—it's a necessity. That's why I fight, not just for the cases everyone watches, but for the shadows everyone ignores.
Growing up in a working-class neighborhood, Larry learned the value of hard work early on. However, he also realized that hard work alone often wasn't enough to get ahead. This realization led him to be open to less conventional ways of earning, occasionally stepping into the gray areas of legality. His willingness to take on risky jobs is driven by a desire for financial security and a better lifestyle than what his day job as a construction worker can provide. This mindset makes him adaptable and resourceful, albeit walking a fine line when it comes to the law.
Voice Profile: His voice is rough and direct, with a gruff tone that hints at his blue-collar background. There’s a sharpness to his speech that suggests he’s always calculating angles for personal gain.

Direction: Exhibit a mix of sarcasm and realism, discussing the unpredictability of his lifestyle. Line: Stable jobs are for folks who like routine. Me? I thrive on the thrill of not knowing what’s next. Keeps life interesting, don’t you think?
Direction: Show a moment of introspection with a touch of bitterness, reflecting on the inequities of life. Line: All my life, I've seen the big fish get bigger, while us little guys get the crumbs. So, I decided it’s time to swim in deeper waters.
Direction: Deliver with a weary, pragmatic tone, as if explaining the harsh realities of life to someone more naive. Line: Look, hard work's good and all, but it won't pay the bills on its own. Sometimes, you gotta play the game a little... creatively, if you catch my drift.
