Project Overview
DISCLAIMER #1: This is a non-profit, unpaid passion project created by teenagers, for teenagers. Everyone involved will receive full, prominent screen credit for their work.
DISCLAIMER #2: No 18+ people will be chosen for the roles no matter how experienced you are, sorry!
This project is an indie animated show about a girl named Iris Miller navigating her own world as well as a parallel universe, not knowing they're threatening to destroy each other. There are some darker themes and concepts, as well as the loss of a few people by the end of season 1. The eventual project goal is 2 seasons of animated content.
Because this is a teen-led project, I am strictly looking for creators between the ages of 13 and 18. We maintain a strictly safe, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ accepting environment. Zero disrespect or discrimination will be tolerated.
To give as many people a chance as possible, voice actors will generally be limited to one main cast role, though you may also voice 1–2 background characters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Discord account
- Access to google classroom
- Between 13-18yrs old (because 13 is discord's minimum age)
- LGBTQIA+ accepting (some characters and some people working on the show are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, so no disrespect towards them will be tolerated)
- Some experience preferred, but it's okay if you're just starting out at whatever you're doing!

This is the female lead named Iris Miller (13 1/2 years old). She's quiet, very curious but also cautious, and always alert

Voice Actor
This is the role for the other female lead, Mara Ives (13 1/2 years old). She's basically the opposite of Iris in a lot of ways - she's bold & impulsive (shy at first), socially unaware, and has a bad habit of lying but is trying to fix it. For this role, you must be okay with singing/humming random tunes on occasion.
[Update: this role is going to be cast soon as I have a great voice actor willing to take the position if nobody else auditions!]

Voice Actor
This is the role for a side/main character called Rose McKenna (14). She's very athletic, bossy/cocky, confident, and gets defensive easily.
*is asked if she's writing poetry* *slams book shut* What- no! Mind your business, weirdo! (angrily & defensive)
Ughhh hurry up, we don't have all day! *someone complains* I don't care if you're tired, keep walking! (bossy)
Voice Actor
This is the character Sara (pronounced Sarah) Sterling, a 13 year old (almost 14) year old side character. She's confident, expressive, and a little vain, with a love for gossip and fashion. She can be judgemental and temperamental, but underneath her dramatic exterior she's genuinely kind, generous, fiercely loyal, and extremely protective of the people she cares about. She gets scared easily but tries not to let others see it. She shouldn't sound mean or overly dramatic—her teasing and judgement usually come from a place of confidence and familiarity rather than genuine cruelty.
(snarky and judgemental, talking to Adalia) Oh my GODS. You CANNOT be wearing that. *pause as everyone stares at her* (addressing the group) What? Everyone knows a bright orange like that doesn't go with her complexion.
Okay, stop. Your rambling is annoying me. First of all, you're fine. Second of all, it wasn't even your fault. And third - get over here so I can fix your hair.
(Singing very quietly to herself, slightly embarrassed but content) Happy birthday to me... happy birthday to me... happy birthday dear Sara... happy birth— (suddenly notices Iris and gasps) Iris?! What—what are you— (Iris says her line — see Iris's audition lines) (Sara looks down at the candle and lighter in her hands, embarrassed) Oh, um... I don't know. I've always had these. (holds up the candle and lighter) ... (Quietly, hesitating) ...Please don't bring this up to anyone, okay?"
