First thing's first: DO NOT OVER-ACT. The Mademoiselle is a straight-faced killer, similar to beep from Kill Bill. She's gone through too much to let anybody know what she actually feels. All the audition lines are taken from the very first episode of the series, so her senses are still getting used to the tough Old West, and you should act like it for the first two lines. For the last one, however, I want to see your most stoic, ruthless delivery possible.
You asked me for my name, yet I never gave it to you.
Doctor March, thank you.
Give me one good reason why I should not shoot you on the spot, Dog.
Isaiah March is a backwater town doctor who makes sure The Mademoiselle survives after the massacre. Back in his prime, he was an outlaw running with the Mesan Rascals before settling down in Serenity Vale, helping people in need.
You a, uh... a cigar lady or a cigarette lady?
(You're persuading your wife to let you bring The Mademoiselle to a gang of outlaws and negotiate with them) This girl, this French girl, she's a dead girl walking. By no means should that kind of thing be possible. She was dead for god-knows-how-long, and suddenly, she's alive and well. She's worth saving. I'll be fine, Jo.
(Bleeding, in pain, coughing) Well, good news is, he didn't shoot me in the head, which would mean I'd die almost instantaneously. Bad news is, I'm gonna bleed out before we reach Serenity.
Reverend Piers is the pastor of the Christian church in Serenity Vale, Red Mesa. After the raids of Serenity Vale started, he's slowly been losing his sanity, slowly pushing him to the brink of alcoholism.
(nervous stuttering) 's getting worse by the minute. I mean, th- them raids are a pretty huge goddamn-
(angrily) And what are YOU doing there?! Just watching me lose my mind over a dead body in MY church, like it's a regular thing? Get her away from here!
(mockingly) "I thought it was your job to put them to rest-" GROW UP, MARCH. Them bandits're killing now, and now that they GOTTA lust for blood, they GOTSTA supply it somehow, meanin' we're royally... how do you say it?
Dog is the leader of The Mesan Rascals, the bandit/outlaw/mercenary gang that took part in the Wedding Massacre, the event that sparked The Mademoiselle's journey. Dog is a threatening individual, cold and calculative, he's able to see whatever someone's thinking just by knowing who he's talking with.
(walking through the empty main street of Serenity Vale, scary, threatening)
Oh, you're asking me how I'M doing? Great question. You see, I have rats in my home. Correct, RATS, of all the damn things I coulda had. Now, these rats, I let 'em do their own thing, you know, so long as they let me help them with... hoarding. Now, that was all fine and dandy, until these rats started eating away on my produce, which is less than what I like. You know, you guys are farmers, why don't you tell me, what's the best way to get rid of pests?
Ms. March is the female counterpart to Doctor Isaiah March - she's a little bit full of herself, but she has a soft side, too - when the Rascals attacked Serenity Vale, she was the one who took in Elizabeth and Sadie after their parents were killed in a shootout with the Rascals.
Isaiah March! I told you, you bring one more dead corpse in here to show the kids, and you're a corpse too!
But you're not a damn negotiator, Isaiah. You're a backwater town doctor. There's a difference you don't seem to be able to grasp.
If a character doesn't have enough importance to the story of the episode, they will be assigned to an extra voice actor - that's where you come in!
Howdy there, how do you do?
It's a beautiful day, ain't it?
When a character doesn't have enough importance to have a separate voice actor, we give the role to an extra VA - that's where you come in!
Howdy there, girl!
It's a beautiful day, ain't it?
When a character doesn't require a specific VA, the role will be given to an extra VA - that's where you come in!
Hello, miss!
My mommy doesn't want me talking to strangers.
