Project Overview
Welcome to the Odyssey is an animated project I hope to get off the ground and make a full pilot on YouTube for the world to see! WTTO, for short, is a series about a world where these beings called Familiars roam. to stop them, the Odyssey guild was formed. We follow our two main characters, jack and Rue as they venture out fighting for the Odyssey guild and to make the world a better place.

Character context and lore:
Rue was born into a big family being the oldest out of 6 children including herself. Her parents heavily pushed Rue to be the perfect child so her brothers and sisters had a role model to follow. Rue was a prodigy and was selected by General Holvers (the leader of the odyssey) himself. There she met Jack and became very close to him over their time there. Rue was praised for her incredible strength and strategy skills. She carries an axe that can break through almost anything. As axes are used find things, we see Rue slowly try to find a place where she can be herself without the stress of her life.
Ideal Voice:
I like to imagine Rue having a mid-high voice. She’s very proud and sometimes short tempered so she tends to yell a lot. She also has her moments of getting very excited and happy because she loves to explore new things. (VOICE ACTOR MUST SING)

“Woahh! Did you see that Jack? Looks like it came from the other side of the forest!” (excited tone)
“Maybe one day I’ll be able to be what my father wants me to be. That’s why I joined the Odyssey in the first place.”
Character context and lore:
Violet is something called a Familiar. Familiar's are these spirits that roam in this world and spread their curse to other humans. She was turned into a familiar at a young age and walked alone in the forest for many years. Sometimes, you can hear her sing the lullaby her mother sang to her before she became a familiar (VOICE ACTOR MUST SING)
Ideal Voice:
I imagine her to sound like she's whispering all of the time with a very high, airy voice. she's only a young child so she has trouble pronouncing certain words as well.

Looking for someone to create background music for the pilot of this show. Will be adding more once things are more developed.

I'm looking for someone to help me make songs the characters will be singing in the project. Welcome to the Odyssey's music is heavily inspired by musicals. For the pilot episode, I planned to have two full songs. However, this might change as this project is still in it's early stages of development.

This is the first animated project I have ever worked on. I have a general layout of the story and certain main characters. I'm still struggling to piece things together so having more writers help me can turn this project around a lot!

I am looking for animators for this Project! Animators will have to adapt to the style of the show and animate on software's such as Toon Boom Harmony. Before auditioning, keep in mind that animators will not be needed right away. There is still a lot that needs to be planned before animation can begin. Frame by frame animation will be used. I am hoping to gather a team of animators who will be able to do different tasks such as background designs, compositing, storyboard, Clean-up, coloring, shading, Retakes, and Conformation
