Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for upcoming show "Welcome to EmeraldCity", brought to you by Emerstone Productions, a new indie animation company that was recently founded in the US. Our show aims to shed light on the mental struggles and hardships teenagers face in high school, as well as the joys, the passions, the love, etc, as viewers join main character Layla Emerstone and her companions throughout her 4 years of high school. We're actively searching for voice actors to bring this show to life!

Layla Emerstone is a 13 year old girl who is just beginning her freshman year at EmeraldHigh, and she's the technical "main character" of this series. She's kindhearted and optimistic, enjoys writing, and always makes an attempt to look at situations from the perspectives of others.

Raven Emerstone is sophomore (15-16) and the student council president at EmeraldHigh. She typically comes off as serious, and she’s very hard on herself. She always pushes herself to be the best she can so she doesn’t feel like she’s falling behind or failing. She has 2 siblings: her twin brother Jason, and adopted younger sister Layla. She gets along well with Jason, they mess with each other playfully but they’re on good terms, but she still hasn’t fully accepted Layla into the family. She's not as cold as she may come off and cares a lot more than you may think.

I dunno, highschoolers are weird. There’s also counselors who lie about college acceptance rates to try to scare people into taking more AP classes just cause they want money (casual / complaining)

Rento Woods is 16 and a junior at EmeraldHigh. He's a very kindhearted and caring type of character, often prioritizes the needs of others before his own (he's also a great listener). He met his girlfriend (Jin Marcus) when they were little, and spends a lot of time with her and her younger sister. He has 3 younger siblings, however he only lives with one of his sisters (Tyler) and his father. He enjoys playing guitar and songwriting, and so does Jin so they often do that together.

Camila Serrano is 17 and a senior at EmeraldHigh. She's the vice president of the Early Childhood Club at school, which she founded with her best friend Thalia. She's responsible, empathetic, caring, and a great listener. She's very passionate about helping others and wants to grow up to be a teacher or therapist.

Alan Williams is 14 and a freshman at EmeraldHigh. He’s a shy and artsy person. He loves painting / drawing and hopes to sell prints in the near future. He prefers cozy days in than days out, but one place he loves going is the cafe down the block (he loves the atmosphere there and finds drawing / reading there very enjoyabe)

Angie is senior at EmeraldHigh (17-18). She teacher-assists for Mr. Hemingway (one of the Englisih teachers), and she also does volunteer work at the school library. She's more closed off and skeptical of others, and prefers to keep personal matters private. However, she really enjoys writing short stories, and often uses it as a way to vent her feelings

Alyssa is senior at EmeraldHigh (17-18). She loves styling hair and hopes to get into cosmetology and hairdressing in her future. Others perceive her as childish sometimes, but she doesn't let it get to her. She loves hanging out with her best friend Angie and trying new hairstyles on her while she tells her about her latest stories
