Welcome to Carphyne (Gacha Series)
Project Overview
Warning: This series will not go into production until I finish a mini-movie. Once it's done I'll update this and start casting.
PREMISE:
Liv was born a triplet. When she was 10, she became a twin. Her brother had died in a mysterious murder and they never found the killer. Now, her mother is making her and her brother move to a new town: Carphyne. On her first day of school, a murder mystery unravels. This town has more secrets that she had thought before. And what happens when her so-called dead brother re-appears out of thin air? And why does everyone seem so.. familiar?
LENGTH/PRODUCTION:
The frames for this series are made *before* the voice-actors record, instead of afterwards. This allows for a shorter production time as the episodes will take far less time to produce. This series will contain extremely short episodes that'll likely be around 2-6 minutes long. Episode 1 has 110 frames, Episode 2 has around 130, and the rest will be made while recording. I have a plot summary for most of the episodes currently. I would like to start working on it as soon as possible which is why the deadline is so short! I'm expecting a lack of auditions so it will most likely be extended until I can fully cast each character! More spots will open up in the future!
I usually post things on my group youtube account Offbrand Milk, which has around 50 subscribers but this time it will be posted on my personal channel, Magikarpie (which has even less). I hope you don't get discouraged from my subscriber count. I'm currently working on a long term series called The Last of Hicitho and I've been focusing on it so I haven't made much content. I'm making this so I can get out videos during the long periods of time between those episodes.
TLDR: Short Episodes, Quick Production
REQUIREMENTS/RULES:
-13+ (This is made for preteens mainly but we're using discord so I cannot allow anyone under the age of 13)

-Emotion in Voice (You can't be monotone, you have to have emotion in your voice. I encourage you to try out even if you don't have the best sound quality because I can use audacity to edit it myself. I want good quality but I know it's unrealistic because I don't have many subscribers.)

Liv is the lead character in the series. She has recently moved to the town of Carphyne where she has made friends with Marlo. Liv is very impulsive and confident. She's typically the brave character in the situation.

(Context- Narration)
"I grew up in a family of four. Our mom had us transfer schools quite frequently but.. she never really told us why."(Context- Talking about someone who they think looks suspicious)
"Didn't you see him? Spooky cloak, white hair, no friends, dark clothes.. yeah, he's creepyy!"(Context- Sad, trying to stop her brother from saying something that could get him hurt, verge of tears)
"Jay.. stop it..! I don't want to lose another person.."
Marlo is the best friend of Liv. She's sweet but she's a scaredy-cat. She'd probably be afraid of her own shadow. She can be skeptical at times as well.

(Context- Grim)
"She's going through a tough time right now.. so I wouldn't bother her.""Hey, why'd you have to scare me like that!"
(Context- She just heard footsteps in the hallway and has assumed that it's a murderer.
"Oh my goshhhhh, we're GOING TO DIEEE!"
THIS IS IMPORTANT: Jay and Noah are both twins. If you audition for both of the roles, I will likely cast you as both. If you do not want to play both of them, please only audition for one or make a note in your audition. Thank you!
Jay is the twin brother of Liv. He was some of the only family she had left after their brother died. He tends to be overprotective and he can get get mad easily, typically at their mom who doesn't really care for either of them.

Voice Type: Loud, Sarcastic
(Context- He's arguing with his mom, he's mad)
"It isn't a favor if you're forcing us to do it!"
(Context- Sort of bewildered at Liv after she considers sneaking out)
"Are you insane?! There's a murderer on the loose and you're just going to for a midnight stroll?!"
(Context- Sleepy)
"Hey.. (yawns).. why are you up so late..?"

Noah is the twin brother of Liv and Jay. He was previously thought to have been murdered when he was 10. There isn't much known about at him at the time, he does not have any lines until Episode 2. Since there is only one example line, please do around 3 takes of it :D

"I have no idea who you are.. so stop bothering me!"
This is the mother of Liv, Noah, and Jay. She is harsh and doesn't really care about her children, only her "job" which she always mentions but somehow never elaborates on. She's is never on-screen, only off-screen talking to them. Since there is only one example line it would be helpful if you did it around 2 times, thanks :D
